Under the theme ‘AI Shift – The New Economy,’ AI WORLD 2026 will bring together leaders from global AI powerhouses—such as OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, Meta, and Mistral—as well as prominent AI startups from around the world to share the latest trends and future visions of the AI market. In addition, key figures representing the South Korean government and industry will join to discuss AI policy directions and strategies to enhance industrial competitiveness.

AI WORLD 2026 will serve as a premier platform to assess the direction of the new economy shaped by AI, and to explore new opportunities and possibilities for cooperation amid technological, industrial, and policy shifts alongside global AI leaders.

Ruth Sun joined Google in November 2025 to lead all revenue and go-to-market operations for Google Cloud Korea. Google Cloud is the division of Google that brings Google's technology and solutions to enterprises, governments, and startups around the world. Under Ruth's leadership, the team is focused on delivering tangible value for customers of all sizes and across industries by transforming in the cloud, powered by artificial intelligence.

Prior to joining Google, Ruth was the Managing Director of Strategic Partnerships at IBM, where she was integral to the company's Corporate Leadership Team and oversaw IBM's multibillion-dollar business relationship with Samsung Group. Before her tenure at IBM, Ruth successfully led the turnaround of Tempest as CEO and Board Director where she tripled the company's topline growth. Other senior leadership roles that Ruth has held in her three decades long career include Chief Operating Officer of Force Therapeutics, Head of Growth at Welltok, Head of Corporate Development at Blackboard, and Director of IBM Watson Health.

Earlier in his career, Mr Park worked extensively with international standard-setting bodies, including the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS), and the Financial Stability Board (FSB). He represented the Bank of Korea in several BCBS working groups, contributing to the development of the post-global financial crisis regulatory framework. Known for her deep understanding of both technological inflection points and global market dynamics, Songyee brings decades of experience at the intersection of AI, systems design, and product innovation. As president and chief strategy officer of NCSOFT, she led the company's AI transformation and oversaw strategic investments and partnerships across North America and Asia.

In addition to her investing work, Songyee advises on the future of AI policy and ethics as a member of Stanford's Human-Centered AI (HAI) advisory council and Harvard University's Generative AI initiative. Kyoungjin Choi is Professor of Law and Director of the Center for AI·Data and Policy at Gachon University. As a representative expert with a long period of academic research and practical experience in artificial intelligence, data, and privacy, he served as Chairman of the Drafting Committee for the Personal Information Protection Act fully revised in 2023 and President of the Personal Information Protection Law Association (PIPLA). Now he is President of the Korea Association For InforMedia Law (KAFIL), President of the Korea Association for Artificial Intelligence and Law (KAAIL) and Chairman of the Korea Association of Personal Data Professionals (KAPP).
